Service Description

This course is ideal for beginners looking to get a solid foundation in pottery, as well as intermediate potters seeking to refine their skills. Classes typically include demonstrations, one-on-one instruction, and plenty of practice time. By the end of the course, students will have 4 finished pieces each to take home and the skills to continue exploring pottery on their own. Nov. 5 - 17.30-20.00 - Wedging & Cylinders * Introduction to clay and studio tools * Learning proper wedging techniques * Understanding wheel setup and posture * Centering clay on the wheel * Throwing basic cylinders Nov. 12 - 17.30-20.00 - Bowls & Advanced Shapes * Throwing bowls * Open and closed forms * Altering wheel-thrown pieces * Exploring more complex silhouettes Nov. 19 - 17.30-20.00 - Trimming & Handles * Trimming larger forms * Adding functional and decorative details * Preparing work for glazing Nov. 26 - 17.30-20.00 - Glazing Session * Advanced glaze application techniques * Layering and combining glazes * Glazing finished work * Final preparation for firing Finished pieces will be ready for collection after firing. Price is calculated for 4 workshops and for 1 person. Disclaimers: *Each class last 2 hours 30 min. *The workshop is in English / Czech. *Each person will take home 4 of their favorite pieces. *The pieces will be ready 10-14 days after the end of the course. Extra piece for an additional fee 170Kc. *An extra day can be booked for an additional fee for you to glaze your own pieces under my guidance. *All materials are included in the price. *Beginner friendly.
